Founded in 2011 by designer Shinya Hasegawa, Battenwear draws inspiration from midcentury American surf and outdoor gear. Manufacturing of Battenwear takes place in New York City’s Garment District, as such, it is one of very few companies making performance-oriented outerwear with American production.
