orSlow
orSlow was founded in Hyogo, Japan in 2005 with designer Ichiro Nakutsu at the helm. Drawing inspiration from work and military wear of the 19th and 20th centuries, orSlow takes a different approach to the production of clothing, focusing on a slow, considered design process, and a focus on longevity. They define 'slow' as, "Crafting original clothes carefully, creating clothes that are adaptable to different styles of different times, and presenting the antithesis of a fast-moving modern society and fashion industry and slowing it down."
With much of the fabric production happening in-house on old shuttle looms, every aspect of clothing from orSlow is carefully crafted to present a beautiful, long-lasting garment.
